1. Lumbar plexus

Thigh의 Femoral n., Obturator n., Sciatic n.
Sciatic n.는 leg로 내려가 Tibial n.와 Common fibular n.로 분지되고
Common fibular n.는 발에서 Superficial fibular n.와 Deep fibular n.로 나뉘어 끝난다.
3. Femoral n. (넙다리신경)

주행경로는 다음과 같다.
1) Psoas major 안에서 시작 → 그 안쪽으로 나와 pelvic brim 따라 이동
2) Obturator foramen 통과 → obturator canal 통해 넙다리 안쪽으로 진입
3) 이후 anterior와 posterior division으로 나뉨.

3) Posterior thigh 진입 → long head of biceps femoris 아래 통과
4) Popliteal fossa의 apex에서 tibial n.와 common fibular n.로 분지
6. Tibial n. (경골신경)

4) Medial malleolus 뒤쪽의 tarsal tunnel 통과
5) Tarsal tunnel 이후 → medial & lateral plantar n.로 분지되어 발바닥 감각/운동 지배

1) Sciatic n.에서 popliteal fossa의 apex에서 tibial n.와 분지
2) Biceps femoris의 내측 경계 따라 하행
3) Fibular neck을 감싸 lateral compartment 진입
4) Fibularis longus 깊은 층으로 들어가면서 두 가지 말초 신경으로 분지
- Superficial fibular n.: 종아리 가쪽에서 아래로 쭉 내려감. 종아리 가쪽칸의 근육들에 분포.
- Deep fibular n.: anterior intermuscular septum을 뚫고 앞으로 와 주행. 종아리 앞칸의 근육들에 분포.

• 임상적으로 중요한 점은 common fibular n. 가 fibula neck을 감싸며 주행한다는 것이다. 따라서 fibula neck에 골절이 생길 경우 common fibular n. 가 손상받을 수 있다.
• 이 경우 발등굽힘(dorsiflexion)이 불가해 발처짐(food drop)이 나타나고, 외번(eversion), 발가락 신전 장애 등의 증상을 보인다.
